Heavy On The "Thank You God"

In 2020, There was a meme circulating around the internet that said "Heavy on The Thank You GOD" My immediate thought was: "I know that's right!"

In 2020 we were in a worldwide pandemic. So many lives were lost, and to have survived that, and be alive and blessed today, the weight of the "thank you GOD" is immeasurable.

At the start of this year various sources stated there would be a total blackout at some point in the year, many people thought it would be earlier around April, however, Prophetess Tiphani Montgomery has recently been sharing content to warn God's people to start preparing.

While biblically the world is only set to get worse, remember that El Gibor always wins!

While we watch, pray and prepare . . . may we also praise:

"O give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good: For His mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God of gods: For His mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks to the Lord of lords: For His mercy endureth for ever. To Him who alone doeth great wonders: For His mercy endureth for ever. To Him that by wisdom made the heavens: For His mercy endureth for ever. To Him that stretched out the earth above the waters: For His mercy endureth for ever. To Him that made great lights: For His mercy endureth for ever: The sun to rule by day: For His mercy endureth for ever: The moon and stars to rule by night: For His mercy endureth for ever." ~ Psalm 136: 1-9

Here's some motivational music to aid in your praise today:

Motivation Music: Lecrae and 1K Phew "MOVE" [Video]

Ayye! It's a bop!

You can do a jig or whatever you want to do, but the single "Move" by Lecrae and 1K Phew will definitely have you "moving it".

The single is from their latest collaborative album No Church In A While.

Besides the production on the song with beats that will get you moving, both Lecrae and 1K Phew spit a few catchy bars on the track.

"Say a prayer on the floor like it's War Room," 1K Phew spat referring to the popular 2015 Film.

In addition to sly verses like "I got the light on me can't lose it" and "light of the world 'til The King is back." The duo came in hot with the rhetoric.

Both rappers shared an unashamed flow for the song that works brilliantly. Check out the official video below to get you moving.

watch the official video below:

"Move," is said to be a fan favorite from the album. The video directed by Jerrell Green & Caleb Seales was filmed in Atlanta, GA.

It finds 1K Phew and Lecrae recreating the drill sergeant scene inspired by the 1995 film, Major Payne, starring Damon Wayans and Karyn Parsons. 1K Phew whipping the Unashamed Army into shape and Lecrae puts them through the drills! Watch the "MOVE" video below. No Church In A While is available for streaming now! To stream now, click here."

Motivation Music: "I Need Your Glory" | Earnest Pugh

"I need your Glory

I want your Glory

Less of me and more of you is what I need . . ."

This is the prayer today. I pray that as we go forward in the day that we seek GOD's face and will in all that we do. That it's just not the main pursuit, but it's THE pursuit.

Have a glorious day!

Gospel Rapper Lecrae Going Into 2021 With Two Grammy Nominations

Multi Grammy Award-winning platinum selling artist, Lecrae, has received two 2021 Grammy Award nominations this year. The first in the category of Best Christian Contemporary Music Performance/Song for “Sunday Morning,” featuring Kirk Franklin. The song is featured on his ninth studio album, Restoration, which was released his own imprint, Reach Records on August 21, 2020. Guest features also include John Legend, YK Osiris, Jozzy, Dani Leigh, Marc E. Bassy, BJ The Chicago Kid and more.

“When I set out to record Restoration, I was sharing my journey to help heal others. I wanted to show you my scars as a proof that wounded people can heal,” explains Lecrae. “This Grammy nomination is a testament of the journey! It’s an acknowledgement for anyone on the road to restoration, and encouragement for those just beginning. It’s bigger than me! This is for us all and I’m honored!”

His second nomination is in the category of Best Gospel Performance/Song category for his feature on Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins’ Allstar gospel benefit song, “Come Together,” written by Jerkins (who also produced the song), the late LaShawn “Big Shiz” Daniels, Jazz Nixon, and Lecrae. Proceeds from the song benefited two organizations: MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund and Compassion International who are providing emergency aid to those in the music community most affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.

Lecrae is a co-owner, founder, and President of Reach Records, a trailblazing Atlanta based independent label. He is a successful businessman, investor, philanthropist, and platinum selling artist who has sold millions of albums and won countless of awards. He released his first album in 2004 independently on Reach Records and by 2008, he was the first Christian hip-hop artist to reach #1 on Billboard’s Gospel Charts. His freestyle on BET’s Hip-Hop Cypher in 2011 solidified his name in the industry and brought mainstream attention. Lecrae’s 2012 album, Gravity, won a Grammy for Best Gospel Album marking the first time a hip-hop artist won honors in that category. By his seventh album, Anomaly, Lecrae would make history yet again with the first album at the top of both the Billboard 200 and Gospel Charts simultaneously. It debuted at No. 1 on both charts in 2014.

The quarantine and the pandemic of 2020 hasn’t slowed Lecrae’s stride. After releasing his album in August, two months later, he dropped Restoration: The Deluxe Album, adding 6 additional new songs and a lineup of features including Rapsody, Ty Brasel and Reach Records artists Andy Mineo, Hulvey, Wande, WHATUPRG, and 1K Phew. Through his partnership with 3 Strand Films, he also released a three-part video narrative, The Road To Restoration, a teaser for his forthcoming documentary.

A New York Times best-selling author, Lecrae has authored two books! His first, Unashamed and the second book, I Am Restored: How I Lost My Religion, but Found My Faith available now everywhere. If things couldn’t get any better, he recently landed two songs on the new Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales video game, “This Is My Time” (featured on the trailer) and “Where We Come From” which can be hard on the original video game soundtrack.

“Restoration is the idea that something broken can return to its original form or even better,” explains Lecrae. “The Restoration ecosystem started with a journal. I wrote the word Restoration on the front of at the lowest point in my life. As I started my restorative process, the word on the front of my journal became the theme for the entire ecosystem: the album, book, and documentary. A big part of the restorative journey is the belief that change will come.”

Blessed Generations

I came across this video on social media looking for other Motivational/Inspirational videos, but this one blessed my soul unexpectedly.

It was a generational theme where multiple generations greeted each other. what I took from it was: when you heal, you don't just heal for yourself, you heal for multiple generations after you, but The healing starts with you.

It's interesting, because I was just having a conversation with one of my mentors about healing and mental health awareness in the black community, and how the conversation has somewhat progressed.

It's crazy how the enemy wants to keep our mind attacked and bombarded with toxic cycles, with struggles and the like. Things get heavy sometimes. We find ourselves going through the same struggles as the generation before us.  Personally, because I think a lot, it's like my mind sometimes is a battlefield. It's honestly prayer and therapy that has been carrying me through and helping me progress. I'm also a member of a church that's pretty solid.

Especially when you're pushing for healing and wholeness you're coming against a battle to break the cycles you've become accustomed to, and break the curses before you. Think about this when you persevere. . . you're not only pushing for you, you're pushing for generations behind you. You're pushing to further healing through your generations.

The current study at the ministry I'm apart of is Ruth from the Bible, and her obedience.  Her obedience and being in position, allowing her self to be open to GOD's will set her up so her bloodline could pass throughout generations, even becoming one of the ancestors of Jesus.

So when you're going through and it's hard, first realize that you're not alone, GOD is with you in this battle because 'The Battle is the Lords', also realize that when you push through and when you claim your victory, you're also setting up blessings for the generations behind you.

Keep believing and trusting that GOD has plans to give you hope and a future. - Jeremiah 29:11

It doesn't even have to be your offspring that you bless, it could be your little sister or brother. The random person you met who you intentionally ministered to and told about the gospel or shared your testimony with. The people that you bless and affect are also you passing along a generational blessing!

Stay blessed and keep pushing forward!

10 Scriptures You Can Fight Off ANYTHING With

Yesterday I had a question come to mind. What scriptures do you use to fight with?

Scripture says the Devil is an adversary so, If you had to fight an enemy using scriptures. . . What scriptures would you use to fight with?

Of course I googled cause it's just in my millennial nature. I definitely want to get to the point where I have my arsenal ready upfront. I will. In the meantime I found a few helpful ones. Honestly, the majority of the scriptures that I came across had to do with GOD's protection, more than actually fighting.

I love that we are protected by GOD and The Lord fights for us. Jesus already won the battle. It's definitely up to us to really know that and use it. Jesus's victory is our ultimate weapon!

"No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their vindication is from Me," declares the Lord." Is. 54:17

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10 recognize that Jesus is the life bringer.

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4 NIV).

The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen” (2 Timothy 4:18 NIV).

"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." - James 4:7

With the current research I've done, I've come to the conclusion that our fight is basically knowing that the battle is won, and knowing who to submit to because in that submission we are protected. It's only when we go out of that submission that things get crazy. Scripture says in Ecclesiastes 10:8 that a person who breaks the hedge might get bitten by a snake. A lot of times it's being out of the standards that we're given. . . out of GOD's word, Out of GOD's will, out of alignment that runs us into trouble.

I started this journey off with what we need to know in order to fight. So essentially let us know that GOD loves us and we can use the word of GOD, which is important to know to face any obstacle, any enemy, or any thing that sets itself up against the knowledge of GOD. 2 Corinthians 10:5

"In all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." Rom. 8:37

This brings me to a song a recently had on repeat. Mali Music sings and iterates this beautifully in his song Conqueror . . .

When I asked this question on Facebook someone suggested the Beatitudes: Matthew 5

More Powerful Than Pain

I think GOD will blow our minds if we're open to it.

GOD is a mindblowing GOD
No, not the blow your brains out kind,
But when we allow ourselves to be led
The mark is definitely made
There's an etching on our heart, more powerful than a scar

it's a kind that reminds us.
of the time that GOD blew our minds,
And there was no feeling like it,
So there is no reason to go back to hurt.
It reminds us that healing
is more powerful than pain

"They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them." - Romans 2:15
This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the LORD: I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” - Hebrews 10:16

3 Affirmations To Kickstart Inner Work

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will." -Romans 12:2

I'm starting to realize that the more truthful I become about honoring divine purpose and love within myself, The more my spirit serves me and provides good vibes. Yesterday was a divine intervention of the holy spirit. During the mountain top experience with a few friends (we hiked up stone mountain), one of them asked us to write down a few things we wanted to release, and proclaim them on the way up the mountain at each resting point.

Once we got to the top of the mountain we discarded the things that we wanted to release and replaced them with what we wanted to go forward in. The three things I wrote down to release were procrastination, fear, and disbelief.

Everything that I wanted to progress in moving forward, were the opposite of the things I wanted to release. What I wrote down to walk forward in turned out to be affirmations and came out more defined than I expected. The receiving was more powerful, than the releasing. I wrote down:

I embrace productivity for divine purpose and call forth divine guidance.

I receive courage.

I believe that I'm worthy of an abundance of love, and love is always working for me.

I encourage you to embrace, receive, and believe If you want to release similar things like fear and procrastination.

Remember, love and fear can't operate in the same place. Feel free to use these affirmations mentioned whenever you're feeling doubtful.

What are some affirmations that you use for yourself. Share them in the comments section below or let me know online

Koryn Hawthorne Debuts "Enough" Single on Overcomer Soundtrack

The first time I heard the song "Enough" I didn't know it was affiliated with the new Overcomer film by the Kendrick Brothers. I just figured it was another hit by the "Unstoppable","Won't He Do It" phenom.

The fact that "Enough" is apart of the Overcomer Soundtrack makes it even more special. The lyrics of this song encompass what it truly means to be an overcomer. In Koryn Hawthorne's powerful signature sound of boldness and declaration we get verses like:

"I can overcome anything 'Cause Your Spirit is alive in me."
I am chosen and redeemed Your love has set me free You define my identity".

"Enough" by Koryn Hawthorne will definitely be a classic and mainstay on my playlist. check out the song Enough by Koryn Hawthorne in the video below and leave a comment about your favorite part of the song in the comments section.

Tell That Mountain to Get Out of Your Way

In life, we may find ourselves in a space where we are downright exhausted. We are consistently giving to make things right for everyone else while leaving ourselves behind. It seems like no matter how hard we try to shift our own situations, it feels like one obstacle after another blocks our path to our freedom.

Image may contain: cloud, sky, road, outdoor and nature

How many times have you said to yourself, 'God where are you'? How many times have you been so mad with God that you said that you were done with living right as it wasn't worth it as the mountains were unbearable to climb.

We all have as this Christian lifestyle isn't easy. Yet God never told us that it would be. In fact the word says in I Peter 1:7 (NIV) "These have come so that the proven genuineness of faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. We're also reminded in Isaiah 41:13
"For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you".
So talk your mountain and tell it to get out of your way. You are armed with the word of God. Now use it and shift your atmosphere.
