Overcoming Anxiety GOD's Way

Overcoming Anxiety

The cure for anxiety is peace. I know you might be reading this like duh, that's obvious. It definitely is, but it's my sincere prayer that we all really begin to choose peace, and the way that leads to it.

In Psalm 139:23 when we read that David prayed for GOD to lead him in "the way" everlasting after first knowing his anxious thoughts. It seems like it's the same "way" that's advised in Proverbs 3:5-6 when Solomon says GOD will direct our paths and make them straight, when we trust in Him with all of our heart.

Then in Philippians 4:8 Paul comes in and says: think about all the good, praise worthy stuff and the GOD of peace will be with you. 

Ok then, Lord! You mean with me on this way, with me as I travel on this journey called life where so many things happen, but when I trust you, when I set my mind on you and your glory, and when I pray, then your peace will be with me?

That sounds like a winning plan. Focus on the fact that GOD loves us and not who doesn't "like" us or what seems to be working against us. #GodlyRelationshipGoals The win and the peace is in GOD's love and paying serious attention to it. 

Here are some scriptures that mention exactly the power of doing overcoming anxiety GOD's way.

David Prayed:

"Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." - Psalms 139:23-24

Solomon Advised:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6

Paul Teached:

"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." - Philippians 4:8

"Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. - Philippians 4:9

He's Worth The Wait Review + Giveaway!!!


Often people spend a lot of time looking for things outside of us to fulfill us, to make us whole. However there is so much satisfaction when we come to realize that our fulfillment is in God's will for our lives. One of my sisters in Christ surprised me and bought a copy of the book for me at the signing. I'm so glad she did. I was blown away! "He's Worth The Wait" is powerful and insightful. Fanny Quioto goes deep with the transparency in her testimony and the revelation from God, given to her during her struggle. She keeps it 100% real which made it easier to relate to, especially if you've ever struggled with addiction, thoughts of suicide, depression, low self-esteem, or the like. It's encouraging because of the powerful declarations pulled from her deeply rooted confidence and faith in God. The book also provides insight into why pre-marital sex tends to fail us every time. Through research, rejoicing, prayer, and accentuating the positive this book reminds us why it's so important to wait. It's a great resource to be used while in waiting. It's so awesome because it encourages everyone to recognize how worthy we are in God's eyes, so we can realize exactly why we deserve the best He has for us.

Waitress Khadijah Muhammad Receives a $1,075 Financial Miracle



Khadijah Muhammad, a Knoxville, Tenn., Waitress saw that her guest's check was turned upside down and she thought the worse. She turned the bill over, and found a $1,075 gratuity for a $29.30 check, WBIR reported the story.


Wow! this is amazing! God can use anything and anyone to bless you!... and the fact that they used a biblical format to determine the amount was even more stunning. I learned this working as a waitress myself. Don't underestimate the power of God to work in your favor at any given moment. There truly are some kind people in the world. Khadijah Muhammad needed a miracle and she got one! This gives me so much hope that God can do the same for us. All things are possible to them that believe.

Get Up and Overcome


Charles Darwin wrote that its not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, it is the one that is most adaptable to change. The Bible says be transformed by the renewing of your mind. We have to be consistently studying, consistently growing, consistently getting better. As time and technology changes it's imperative that we update with it. Also, realize that gratitude and honor to God is the paradigm that gives fresh life beyond the dimension of time. We can't be bitter for the cards life handed us to start, but we can be over-comers. Gaining knowledge and wisdom is apart of growth and Living in the world. We receive enlightenment by Intentionally seeking it, or life teaches us the lessons we need to know from our mistakes.


It's up to us to use the power we've gained to make the most out of it...To Overcome. It's our job to take our worst circumstances and make our best selves out of them. What we've been given helps to shape who we are. Oneness with spirit is imperative. No offense to Charles Darwin, but the belief that we were created in a divine image and loved with infinite purpose is the most powerful, progressive thought of all. It trumps everything. So, If we believe we have the power and we see how everything lines up in our lives for good, because we love it. Why not overcome with the love we've been given?


We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them. Therefore continue to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Continue to upgrade and stay current, Continue to seek God in all the ways you can, And most of all use your power within you to overcome whatever stands before you, it's only gonna make you stronger in the end. Heaven and earth will pass away, but the word of God will never pass away. Those that endure til the end will be saved. Well, endurance comes from building strength. If we are going to build strength in anything, its up to us to take full advantage of our power to over come.
