Tuesday

GOD: The Ultimate Giver

Today is giving Tuesday, I'm reminded today that GOD is the ultimate giver.

GOD has provided us with the Holy Spirit to comfort us.

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
John 14:26

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.
John 14:16

GOD also "Gave" us an ONLY son. so that we should not perish and have everlasting life.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16

I'm so grateful today for all that has been given to me and I'm looking forward to giving forward.

GOD even gives to us when we give to others. Today's affirmation is about giving.

"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” - Luke 6:38

I pray you have a prosperous and giving day today. All the best to you! If you are not aware about the concept of "Giving Tuesday", it's a great day to support your favorite charity or ministry in the work that they do to give forward to others.

Tyler Perry Paid For Seniors’ Groceries At More Than 70 Different Stores

The Actor, Writer and Director purchased goods for elderly shoppers at 44 Kroger stores in Atlanta and 29 Winn-Dixie stores in Louisiana.

Tyler Perry just made the lives of a lot of people in Georgia and Louisiana easier during the coronavirus pandemic.

The 50-year-old movie mogul purchased the groceries for certain shoppers at 44 Kroger stores in Atlanta and 29 Winn-Dixie stores in Louisiana. Perry’s generosity covered the hauls of elderly people shopping during the hour reserved for them amid the global health crisis.

Perry currently lives in Atlanta and grew up in New Orleans. The receipts for those whose groceries were paid for were reportedly signed “Atlanta Angel.”

Elderly and immunocompromised people are at high risk for serious complications from the coronavirus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, so many grocery stores have announced in the last few weeks that they’d be blocking off the first hour or two of the business day for people 60 and older to shop.

Felix Turner, manager of corporate affairs for Kroger’s Atlanta division, said in a statement to HuffPost: “We would like to join our customers in thanking Mr. Perry for his kindness and generosity during this unprecedented pandemic. It was truly a pleasure to see our customers fill with joy and gratitude as the news spread throughout 44 stores across Metro Atlanta.”

Winn-Dixie tweeted a statement on Wednesday thanking Perry for “paying it forward by purchasing groceries for elderly and high-risk [Winn-Dixie] customers shopping at Louisiana stores this morning.”

“Winn-Dixie applauds your love for community and sincere generosity,” the company said.

Perry did not comment on the grocery store purchases.

The filmmaker has been busy spreading generosity throughout the pandemic. Earlier this week, he gave a $500 tip for every single out-of-work server at Houston’s restaurant in Atlanta. In total, he doled out $21,000 to the workers.

Producer, Actor, Director Tyler Perry aimed to make sure more than a thousand strangers have a very merry Christmas this year.
He revealed on Instagram recently that he paid off all the items people had on layaway at a pair of Atlanta-area Walmarts as a Christmas surprise.
"I know it's hard times and a lot of people are struggling," Perry said in the video. "I'm just really really grateful to be able to be in a situation to do this. So God bless you. Go get your stuff."
The "Madea" star paid for all items that were registered on layaway through 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, telling people they only had to pay one penny when they went to pick them up.
Walmart said in a statement to TODAY:
"Tyler Perry’s generous donation is making an unbelievable difference for so many families, and we can’t thank him enough for his kindness,'' "The heartfelt excitement and joy we’re seeing from our customers as a result of his holiday gift has been touching."
Store Associates got to witness how amazing the power of generosity is BIG TIME. Kindness is a gift that keeps on giving! Way to go Tyler Perry!

The Last Crab In The Barrel

The last crab in the barrel who has pulled the others down and has gotten mangled and destroyed in the process, has nothing left to do but destroy itself.

This happens when one is insatiable. If you are insatiable you will soon be consumed.

Be someone who lifts others up, because you know what they do? ... they turn around and help you.

We rise by lifting others up.
