When You Stand, GOD Steps In

"What do you do when you've done all you can, and it seems like you can't make it through?"

This song blessed me this morning, an oldie, but a goodie!

What I got from this is that we're not just standing for the sake of standing, with no premise. 

When we stand, we stand on the promises of GOD!

"Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;"

Eph. 6:14‭-‬15

The peace is the promise. The peace is in the New Covenant, in Yeshua Hamashiack!

When we're standing in The Lord's will, we're standing with liberty and freedom!

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and don't be entangled again by a yoke of bondage." - Gal. 5:1

I pray all is well with your soul today according to The Word of GOD!

Ayye! It's a bop!

You can do a jig or whatever you want to do, but the single "Move" by Lecrae and 1K Phew will definitely have you "moving it".

The single is from their latest collaborative album No Church In A While.

Besides the production on the song with beats that will get you moving, both Lecrae and 1K Phew spit a few catchy bars on the track. 

"Say a prayer on the floor like it's War Room," 1K Phew spat referring to the popular 2015 Film.

In addition to sly verses like "I got the light on me can't lose it" and "light of the world 'til The King is back." The duo came in hot with the rhetoric.

1K Phew & Lecrae Announce New Collaborative Album, 'No Church In A While' | Release Single "Wildin" [Video]

Gospel Rap Artists Lecrae and 1KPhew are releasing new music, and it's together.

[Jackie O & Co Release] A new breed of artists are taking the trap sensibility and elevating it into a new sound called “Street Gospel,” a term coined by Atlanta based Reach Records artist, 1K Phew. 1K Phew’s smooth delivery, swag, and evocative vocals have an infectious quality that is streetwise yet commercially viable.

Reach Records president and co-founder, Lecrae describes Phew’s sound as hip-hop that is equally at home in the club or the church. “Our artists at Reach Records are continuing to prove that faith can exist beyond the pews of the church if expressed authentically. Rappers like 1K Phew are carrying forward the torch we lit with ‘Let The Trap Say Amen’ using their music to reach hip-hop heads with a spiritually that’s not forced or foreign to them.”

 

1K Phew’s new project collaborative album with Lecrae, No Church In A While, features 10 tracks including: “Wildin” “Ready Or Not,” “Move It,” “One Call,” “What We Gon Do,” “Amen,” “Blockhead,” “Born Sinner” “Save Us,” and “No Church In A. White.” Lecrae was recording his mixtape, Church Clothes 4, when it occurred to him that people actually hadn't been to church to even put on those church clothes in a while because of the pandemic, church hurt, and other reasons.

The concept for their collaborative album, No Church For A While grew out of their conversations. “No Church In A While has all types of meanings,” expresses 1K Phew. “We just went through the pandemic and ain’t nobody [go] to church in a minute. This album is for everybody who ain’t been to church or connected to God in a while who thinks they can’t go back. It ain’t really that deep. God is waiting for everybody to tap back in. No Church In A While is telling people there’s still hope, you can still turn to God no matter how long you’ve been away.”

May our bodies be a tabernacle for The Holy Spirit always.

Kierra Sheard's KIERRA Debuts at #1 on Billboard's Top Gospel Album's Chart

Recently, GRAMMY® and Stellar Award-winning artist, actress and entrepreneur, Kierra Sheard’s latest album KIERRA debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Album’s chart, #1 on Billboard’s Top Christian/Gospel albums chart, and #2 on Billboard’s Top 200 Christian & Gospel Consumption chart. Released on April 17^th, KIERRA has knocked the longstanding #1 Jesus Is King out of the top position, and has garnered more than 3 million streams in its first week.

Kierra is overwhelmed by the response the album is receiving and says, “I’m so honored and grateful. God is faithful! My team and my supporters have really held me down, and lifted me up during this trying time. This has put a smile on my face and in my heart.”

Lisa Winans (formerly Lisa Kimmey) is best known as one third of the Dove Award winning, Contemporary Christian Music trio, Out of Eden. The group was active from 1994 to 2006, producing seven albums. During Lisa’s tenure with Out of Eden, she appeared on the 90’s sitcom “Moesha,” and hosted original programming for the Gospel Music Channel. In 2006, Out of Eden retired and released a greatest hits compilation. The trio reunited in 2014 for a special Gotee Records compilation album with a cover of House of Heroes’ single “Constant.”

10 Scriptures You Can Fight Off ANYTHING With

Yesterday I had a question come to mind. What scriptures do you use to fight with?

Scripture says the Devil is an adversary so, If you had to fight an enemy using scriptures. . . What scriptures would you use to fight with?

Of course I googled cause it's just in my millennial nature. I definitely want to get to the point where I have my arsenal ready upfront. I will. In the meantime I found a few helpful ones. Honestly, the majority of the scriptures that I came across had to do with GOD's protection, more than actually fighting. 

I love that we are protected by GOD and The Lord fights for us. Jesus already won the battle. It's definitely up to us to really know that and use it. Jesus's victory is our ultimate weapon!

"No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their vindication is from Me," declares the Lord." Is. 54:17

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10 recognize that Jesus is the life bringer.

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4 NIV).

The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen” (2 Timothy 4:18 NIV).

"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." - James 4:7

With the current research I've done, I've come to the conclusion that our fight is basically knowing that the battle is won, and knowing who to submit to because in that submission we are protected. It's only when we go out of that submission that things get crazy. Scripture says in Ecclesiastes 10:8 that a person who breaks the hedge might get bitten by a snake. A lot of times it's being out of the standards that we're given. . . out of GOD's word, Out of GOD's will, out of alignment that runs us into trouble.

I started this journey off with what we need to know in order to fight. So essentially let us know that GOD loves us and we can use the word of GOD, which is important to know to face any obstacle, any enemy, or any thing that sets itself up against the knowledge of GOD. 2 Corinthians 10:5

"In all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." Rom. 8:37

This brings me to a song a recently had on repeat. Mali Music sings and iterates this beautifully in his song Conqueror . . .

Koryn Hawthorne Debuts "Enough" Single on Overcomer Soundtrack

The first time I heard the song "Enough" I didn't know it was affiliated with the new Overcomer film by the Kendrick Brothers. I just figured it was another hit by the "Unstoppable","Won't He Do It" phenom.

The fact that "Enough" is apart of the Overcomer Soundtrack makes it even more special. The lyrics of this song encompass what it truly means to be an overcomer. In Koryn Hawthorne's powerful signature sound of boldness and declaration we get verses like:

"I can overcome anything 'Cause Your Spirit is alive in me."  
I am chosen and redeemed Your love has set me free You define my identity".

Gospel Artist Jonathan McReynolds Earns Two GRAMMY® Nominations

Jonathan McReynolds, Billboard #1 album “Make Room” has received two grammy nominations for Best Gospel Album and Best Gospel Song/Performance. The 2018 GRAMMY ® Award nominations were announced Friday. The 61st Annual GRAMMY ® Awards will air live on CBS Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019.

McReynolds is recognized in GRAMMY® category 36, Best Gospel Performance/Song, for his single “Cycles.” Additionally, he picked up a second nomination in category 38, Best Gospel Album, for his third LP, “Make Room.”

Dove Award-winning, GRAMMY® and Stellar award-nominated gospel artist Jonathan McReynolds’ current album “Make Room” debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Current Gospel Albums Chart and #2 on Top Christian/Gospel Albums. It broke into the mainstream charts at #27 on Top Current Albums and #97 on the Hot 200. The live LP is his third full album and the fourth overall release for the 28-year-old musician.  McReynolds also holds a Master’s in Theology from Moody Theological Seminary and is an adjunct member of the Columbia College faculty.
