10 Powerful Scriptures About Spiritual Freedom

Juneteenth is being celebrated and more widely notarized, and some celebrate the Fourth of July, both of these dates hold their own significance, However as believers in the gospel of Jesus, it’s imperative to celebrate the freedom that surpasses nationality and time itself.

True freedom in The Spirit can be a common thread across the racial divide. Those that have it and celebrate it daily know. Let’s hope that Freedom found in faith will continue to conquer and revolutionize the world as we know it today. Although there might be many interpretations of it, the Holy Bible is clearly in favor of freedom.

Here are ten power-packed scriptures that highlight the importance of Freedom in The Spirit:

“In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” — Ephesians 3:12

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” — Galatians 5:1

I have to admit I haven't been too familiar with Danny Gokey's music aside from the random moments when I catch some contemporary gospel music on the radio. However, listening to Danny Gokey's new song "Haven't Seen It Yet" on the album of the same name, I found myself bopping and clapping along. "You better say that!!" The message, the inspiration, and the upbeat sound are all powerful. Overall, it's a great combination.

Grammy® nominee and Dove Award winner Danny Gokey, recently announced that his fifth studio album “Haven’t Seen It Yet,” is available for pre-order now; and available for purchase at all major retail stores and digital retailers on Friday, April 12^th, 2019. The second digital single “New Day” has been released as part of the album launch campaign, and the accompanying high-energy lyric video is also available. Two additional album tracks will release prior to the album’s release.

Dr. Cindy Trimm expounded on the importance of  the soul and knowing who we are. Trimm shared many great points. Some of the quotes listed below are just a few that jumped out to us. Trimm elaborated in her message "I Know Who I Am" that God breathed life into us. There is a spirit (ruach) in man that gives inspiration, it is the inspiration of the almighty, knowing who we are is critical:

• God breathed the breath of life into man and he became a living soul.
• The soul animates the body, when you lose your soul you have no control. If you fail to nurture your soul you fail to nurture yourself.
• God has expressed himself in you, He has voice printed you.
• When God created you, He gave you your soul, your soul gave you the ability to have a spiritual life. your soul is responsible for your identity and your ability.
• The breath of God has already voice printed your identity, your personality.
• When you discover who you are you will no longer be controlled by people.
• When you discover who you are you will no longer be defined by external circumstances.
• When you discover who you are Life will no longer happen to you, you will happen to life.

BOLD-Impact Hosts Alto Adjustment Screening (VIDEO)

It was very exciting to be able to host the Alto Adjustment Screening at Back-2-School Park Jam presented by From Nothing To Something Productions. I must admit I was a nervous being an event facilitator for the first time. I don't think it when unnoticed as I wanted it to, but we live and we learn... (Then hopefully we grow). 

I'm glad I was able to gain the experience, as BOLD Journal begins to host and sponsor a lot more events in the future. As Brene Brown would say, we've stepped "into the arena".  And Grateful to have been invited for such a worthy cause. "The Alto Adjustment" follows the powerful story of Dainhen Butler, who in misguided youth, ends up in one of the most violent prison facilities in the country, but through the power of education, mentorship, prayer, and positivity has become a multifaceted entrepreneur and resource within the community.

A talented Author, Danhein penned the book: Shawty, and has continued to be a voice of consciousness and overcoming. The Alto Adjustment Documentary was Created by From Nothing To Something Productions Founder Altuawn Nelson.
