The Hebrew word Paniym means: Face, Presence, Person. May The Lord cause His face to shine upon you!

May the presence of The Lord continually be with you. May you continually look to The Lord so your face can continue to shine and radiate with His brightness. 

May we look to The Lord, the "lifter of our heads" forever.

Ayye! It's a bop!

You can do a jig or whatever you want to do, but the single "Move" by Lecrae and 1K Phew will definitely have you "moving it".

The single is from their latest collaborative album No Church In A While.

Besides the production on the song with beats that will get you moving, both Lecrae and 1K Phew spit a few catchy bars on the track. 

"Say a prayer on the floor like it's War Room," 1K Phew spat referring to the popular 2015 Film.

In addition to sly verses like "I got the light on me can't lose it" and "light of the world 'til The King is back." The duo came in hot with the rhetoric.

"Move," is said to be a fan favorite from the album. The video directed by Jerrell Green & Caleb Seales was filmed in Atlanta, GA.

It finds 1K Phew and Lecrae recreating the drill sergeant scene inspired by the 1995 film, Major Payne, starring Damon Wayans and Karyn Parsons. 1K Phew whipping the Unashamed Army into shape and Lecrae puts them through the drills! The ASCAP organization is continuing their #ASCAPRealSounds series. Sunday, May 9 2021 Gospel Artists Ted & Sheri, Kelontae Gavin, Brandon Camphor & Oneway and DJ Camper will be featured in the virtual concert event, which will include pre-recorded musical performance videos and interviews with the chart-topping artists.

I woke up today with a song in my spirit, it happened to be the same song that Mali Music had to sing.  "a song about hope, a song about faith" As you might imagine there was inspiration that took place.

As I dived more into prayer, I was inspired even more about what it means to have true "hope". I decided to share this dissection, rant, revelation in this BOLD podcast episode: Not Your Average Hope".

My prayer is that it empowers you like it did me not only have "hope", but walk in it for real. Enjoy!

Gospel Rapper Lecrae Going Into 2021 With Two Grammy Nominations

Multi Grammy Award-winning platinum selling artist, Lecrae, has received two 2021 Grammy Award nominations this year. The first in the category of Best Christian Contemporary Music Performance/Song for “Sunday Morning,” featuring Kirk Franklin. The song is featured on his ninth studio album, Restoration, which was released his own imprint, Reach Records on August 21, 2020. Guest features also include John Legend, YK Osiris, Jozzy, Dani Leigh, Marc E. Bassy, BJ The Chicago Kid and more.

“When I set out to record Restoration, I was sharing my journey to help heal others. I wanted to show you my scars as a proof that wounded people can heal,” explains Lecrae. “This Grammy nomination is a testament of the journey! It’s an acknowledgement for anyone on the road to restoration, and encouragement for those just beginning. It’s bigger than me! This is for us all and I’m honored!”

His second nomination is in the category of Best Gospel Performance/Song category for his feature on Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins’ Allstar gospel benefit song, “Come Together,” written by Jerkins (who also produced the song), the late LaShawn “Big Shiz” Daniels, Jazz Nixon, and Lecrae. Proceeds from the song benefited two organizations: MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund and Compassion International who are providing emergency aid to those in the music community most affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.

Lecrae is a co-owner, founder, and President of Reach Records, a trailblazing Atlanta based independent label. He is a successful businessman, investor, philanthropist, and platinum selling artist who has sold millions of albums and won countless of awards. He released his first album in 2004 independently on Reach Records and by 2008, he was the first Christian hip-hop artist to reach #1 on Billboard’s Gospel Charts. His freestyle on BET’s Hip-Hop Cypher in 2011 solidified his name in the industry and brought mainstream attention. Lecrae’s 2012 album, Gravity, won a Grammy for Best Gospel Album marking the first time a hip-hop artist won honors in that category. By his seventh album, Anomaly, Lecrae would make history yet again with the first album at the top of both the Billboard 200 and Gospel Charts simultaneously. It debuted at No. 1 on both charts in 2014. 

The quarantine and the pandemic of 2020 hasn’t slowed Lecrae’s stride. After releasing his album in August, two months later, he dropped Restoration: The Deluxe Album, adding 6 additional new songs and a lineup of features including Rapsody, Ty Brasel and Reach Records artists Andy Mineo, Hulvey, Wande, WHATUPRG, and 1K Phew. Through his partnership with 3 Strand Films, he also released a three-part video narrative, The Road To Restoration, a teaser for his forthcoming documentary.

A New York Times best-selling author, Lecrae has authored two books! His first, Unashamed and the second book, I Am Restored: How I Lost My Religion, but Found My Faith available now everywhere. If things couldn’t get any better, he recently landed two songs on the new Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales video game, “This Is My Time” (featured on the trailer) and “Where We Come From” which can be hard on the original video game soundtrack.

“Restoration is the idea that something broken can return to its original form or even better,” explains Lecrae. “The Restoration ecosystem started with a journal. I wrote the word Restoration on the front of at the lowest point in my life. As I started my restorative process, the word on the front of my journal became the theme for the entire ecosystem: the album, book, and documentary. A big part of the restorative journey is the belief that change will come.”

BET Officially Announces Season 10 Sunday Best Winner

BET Network has officially announced it’s season 10 winner for it's inspirational singing competition “Sunday Best,” this year. Maybe the world wasn't expecting her to win, but America voted for her to win. Stephanie Summers was the contestant who took home the victory. Summers will receive a recording contract with RCA Inspiration, a $50,000 prize and an opportunity to be a featured performer on the McDonald's Inspiration Gospel Tour and the title “Sunday Best.” 

Summers is a veteran in the gospel music scene, she's opened up for legends like Pastor John P. Kee, Dorinda Clark-Cole, and others. Her gospel career was side tracked after the death of her best friend and father. After a short period of homelessness, she has once again found her footing and is ready to return to the gospel scene. Her story really proves that it’s never too late to follow your dreams. Today, she lives with her children in Colorado Springs, CO.

The season 10 finale episode of Sunday Best featured original performances by show judge Jonathan McReynolds feat. Mali Music with “Movin’ On;” show judge Erica Campbell with “You;” The Clark Sisters with “Victory;” Kierra Sheard with “It Keeps Happening” and season 9 winner Melvin Crispell III with a rendition of “What’s Going On?” Gospel music great Dorinda Clark Cole and Sunday Best season 3 winner Le’Andria Johnson made special appearances during contestant mentoring moments.

Kirk Franklin Debuts New Video For “Strong GOD”

Gospel Artist, Songwriter and Producer Kirk Franklin recently unveiled the powerful video for his song “Strong God”. The song is the latest single from Franklin’s GRAMMY^®-winning, critically acclaimed album LONG LIVE LOVE, which was released in 2019.

The video directed by Joey Papa shines a light on some of the most serious issues that the world is facing including, poverty, racism, drug addiction, domestic violence and the covid-19 pandemic. 

Portions of the thought-provoking video were inspired by a recent trip to the Dominican Republic that Franklin took with the non-profit organization, *Compassion International*. He serves as a music artist ambassador for the charity, which provides holistic child development to children and families in impoverished communities all over the world through local churches. 

Franklin is using this song as an opportunity to raise funds for the charity’s Covid-19 Disaster Relief. The “Strong God” video premiered on Franklin’s YouTube / Vevo channel and BET Soul.

Additionally, “Just For Me,” another track from LONG LIVE LOVE, reached #1 at Gospel radio this week. This past Sunday, May 31^st Franklin joined fellow Gospel artist Fred Hammond and Bishop T.D. Jakes for Verzuz – The Healing, a special edition of the extremely popular Instagram live series produced by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland. With so much pain and devastation being experienced in the United States and across the globe right now, Franklin and Hammond came together to provide inspiration and encouragement through Gospel music. 

The two welcomed fellow gospel artists Tamela Mann and Marvin Sapp who blessed the live audience, which reached as many as 275,000 people, with surprise performances. They also took time during the event to acknowledge victims of police violence and racially motivated murder including Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd and Trayvon Martin and to offer their support to Arbery’s mother Wanda Cooper-Jones via phone.

Stellar Awards Announces 2020 Virtual Production

The Stellar Gospel Music Awards has announced that this year's Awards Show will be virtual. The virtual television broadcast will include a special tribute to first responders. Artists Jonathan McRenolds and Koryn Hawthorne are still set to host the event. Returning to host, this time as a co-host will be Kirk Franklin.

The superstar trio will work together to keep the virtual television praise party lifted and flowing seamlessly throughout the evening. Confirmed performers include Donnie McClurkin, James Fortune, J.J. Hairston & Youthful Praise, Travis Greene, Pastor Mike Jr., Kierra Sheard, and Doe, with more to be announced.

An important tradition at the Stellar Awards will be held for next year’s 2021 show, where Jackson will bestow well-deserved special honors and recognition upon Gospel greats who have elevated the genre. The previously named recipients – The Clark Sisters, Lady Tramaine Hawkins, Pastor Shirley Caesar in addition to Gospel music industry leaders Dr. Leonard Scott, Skip Barrett, Kerry Douglas, and Dr. Teresa Hairston – will be celebrated for their contributions to Gospel music when The Stellar Awards returns to Las Vegas next Spring in March 2021.

Tickets purchased for 2020 Stellar Awards events that were scheduled for August 14–16 will be refunded. Previously announced nominees for the 2020 Stellar Awards includes , veteran Gospel collective, Donald Lawrence Presents The Tri-City Singers who leads the field of nominees with nine nominations. Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond Take Verzuz To The Next Level

Gospel Music giants Kirk Franklin and Fred Hammond will jointly host the verzuz event Sunday May 31, 2020. Bishop T.D. Jakes will open with a few words of encouragement before the battle begins at 5PM EST.

With all the craziness going on in the world right now surrounding the murders of unarmed black men and women. Hopefully this will bring some uplift even if just for a moment.

Touted as "The Healing" Verzuz, rightfully we know that real "healing begins when change starts happening". One Instagram user commented in regards to the event happening. We are definitely appreciative of Kirk, Fred and Bishop Jakes moving toward the effort.

12 Year Old Keedron Bryant, whose video "I Just Want To Live" has gone viral, was used as the background music for the event.
