Royalty, Restoration, and Repair

a crown of thorns. photo credit: Samuel Lopes

"When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things." - 1 Corinthians 13:11

I heard someone say that the Author who wrote that verse in Corinthians "Intentionally" put away childish things. It was not by accident or by chance, but by choice.

The decision to put away childish things and "renew our minds" goes along with the intentional act of surrender. Surrendering our will to GOD's will, surrendering our thoughts to GOD's thoughts for us is where real transformation is.

After so many years of getting hurt by ego and my own will and outlook, I'm grateful to realize how essential obedience and surrender are. While they are sometimes not easy, they're necessary for our life's journey.

Surrender is required for growth. From a child to a man, from a man to a royal, obedience has it.  As I celebrated a birthday and personal new year, I realized a few things and was given the revelation that I'll move forward with:

"Surrender is a process, but surrender is what makes you royal."
Jesus was on earth as a man, but he rose as a King. Jesus had to surrender to ascend. Sometimes It wasn’t easy. We see it when Jesus has his “Mountain top” experiences that prayer, wisdom and surrender were fully required.
Satan tempted Jesus on a mountain, but truth prevailed.
Jesus prayed on a mountain:

Father not my will but your will be done.” - Luke 22:42
The journey requires patience, process, and surrender.

Without having an elevated view, we can’t see things how GOD sees things. Intentionally aiming to see them how GOD sees them is surrender. . . It’s the stuff Kings and Queens are made of.

Dr. King literally said “I’ve been to the mountain top”. Great vision comes from a high view. . . The Most High’s view to be specific. A lot of people declare a certain age to be their “Jesus Year”, but I proclaim this year as my “Queen Year”.

  • This is the year that the only validation I seek is GODs.
  • This is the year that GOD’s kingdom for me will be established through me.
The greatness of Jesus' story is not that he died, but that he was revived. I’m grateful that life's journey requires daily refreshing and surrender. As long as my soul is restored I can live and I can continue to rise.

We have to submit our mind, body and soul to the Lord in order for them to be restored. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” - Psalm 23:3

Surrender.
A Queen is not afraid to fail” As I continue to surrender to love, I know I never will.

I am embracing my Queen Year! Cheers to the Divine Royalty within us.

3 Ways You Can Still Win In 2020

It's a great time to go really hard at fulfilling your purpose. It's winning season. Not just a year's worth, but for a whole decade.

It is not just another new year, it is a whole new decade.
These are things you can do to find yourself winning in 2020.

1. Pick an area such as mindset, courage, endurance, or growth.  Think of ideas about things you can practice over the next 21 days to help you strengthen your focus area for your new decade. For me, I want to strengthen my consistency. For the next 21 days, I have a planning journal of things I need to get done. I have decided to make a commitment and do everything possible in order to ensure I bring consistency into my new decade.

2. Think about what baggage you are carrying around with you at this present moment that is causing you to be weighed down, and is putting a real hindrance in your progression. Write it down and create a short statement that directly speaks authority over that obstacle.  For me, I struggle with acceptance. I dread putting my content (poetry, blog post, videos) out because I feel it won't resonate with anyone.  I often think it won't help anyone and no 1 will like it.  So my Affirmation statement over my acceptance baggage is:

decade, affirmation, in

3. Visualize your optimal self. What type of person would you be if you had no struggles, money was no issue, and you had the ability to complete any task on earth. What could that task potentially be? Who could that task potentially serve? How would you like people to feel when they encountered your service or whatever it is you have to offer? How would you feel to know that people are feeling that way? How would you celebrate your win? Write down these answers, and create an "Optimal Self Avatar". It will help you recognize where you aspire to go in your next decade and will give you some ideas to determine if you are on the right path.

Be intentional about winning in this season. Really figure out what is your path, and make the necessary steps to ensure you are walking down it with the power that you have.
If you are struggling to recognize what your path is, or how you own your power book yourself a free Transformational Purpose Coach call here. I would love to help you with this.

3 Ways To Move Forward In The New Year Successfully

by: Ruthann Mckenzie

Are you ready to move forward?

Moving forward to the new year should be something greeted with great expectation. Whether the year was a wonderful one or there were bumps in the road, there is a new start with the new year.  You can begin the steps to making a change prior to the new year. Yet, it is good to pause and reflect on what to make better for the next year.

How can you make the best of the upcoming year? The following three things should be taken into consideration with 2015 right around the corner:

  • Recognize the value of time. Time is so important and we need to leave behind wasting precious moments on irrelevant things. Enjoy living in the moment and see the value in each day. Make the most out of each year, month, week, and day.

  • Do not remain bondage to the past. Whatever painful situation that has happened this year or years ago can be let go of. Our memory can be used to focus on where the Lord has brought us from versus remembering all the hurt. Pain is inevitable in this lifetime, but misery is optional. You do not have to remain bondage to the past. Resolve to let that go as 2014 comes to a close.
make a new start, with a new year...

  • Create clear priorities for your life. It does not take any set time of the year to realize what is important to you. However, when a new year approaches it is time to take inventory of your priorities and establish what is important and why. Practice utilizing your time wisely from the start of your day, establishing what takes priority.
These skills can be useful moving into the new year. Continue creating awesome vision boards and defining clear goals for how you are moving forward with your life. If you are ready to start fresh and not sure where to start, then check out Just Be Confident and how coaching and mentorship may be able to work for you. Make 2015 your year by moving forward!
