Who Does That? Ezekiel Ch 8 stw

Ezekiel Ch 8 Synopses

I always used to hear my pastor ask rhetorically "Who does that?" Now I can kind of understand where she gets it from... In Ezekiel Ch 8 God is mad and by the end of the chapter He goes into a series of questioning in His anger. The Lord  is making Ezekiel aware of the detestable things that  Judah, the Elders do. Ezekiel witnesses such things. At the end of the chapter God is asking Ezekiel a series of questions. Like "Is it only a trivial matter that they do this?" God is angered at this behavior. God declares that He will not hear their shouts:
17He said to me, “Have you seen this, son of man? Is it a trivial matter for the house of Judah to do the detestable things they are doing here? Must they also fill the land with violence and continually provoke me to anger? Look at them putting the branch to their nose! 18Therefore I will deal with them in anger; I will not look on them with pity or spare them. Although they shout in my ears, I will not listen to them.”

I also understand why the Lord is questioning, Questioning is Good for understanding, even though what the house of Judah is doing has gone beyond civility. I can imagine in this chapter God feels like: This is crazy, I didn't create you for this, I created you for greatness, but this is what you're doing?! SMH!!
When God is questioning and watching there is definitely a problem! We all should ask ourselves is God questioning me? Is God comfortable in me? or is what I'm doing questionable?
See what happens in the next Chapter Ezekiel Ch 9 and follow along with us as we continue to "Spread The Word".
