A Host of Perfection

"We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete." (2 Corinthians 2:5-6)

...allow God's spirit to take over.
When this scripture was read yesterday during church service it reminded me even more of  a previous inspiration. As living beings we are hosts to different things depending on the conditions we put ourselves in. Our bodies can host infections or diseases, but most importantly. we have the honor to be a host of the holy spirit within us. We have the power to conquer, because of Christ's spirit of overcoming.

Because we have the spirit to do all things through Christ we are authentically empowered, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Philippians 4:13)

You are empowered not just today, but everyday. With this knowledge we can simply make up our minds and refuse to settle for anything less. If knowledge is potential power, and we don't allow other people to treat us any kind of way, we should should refuse the devil taking advantage of us with even more force.

Be a great host for the spirit of God today. You have defense in every area, and the truth of the word is your weapon. Be skilled with that weapon ...Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. (2 Corinthians 2:11)

Don't be taken advantage of, you are a host of the spirit of God, let His light and power shine through you for the greatest access to success.

You have the power, so get up, get going and GO WIN!

Be Wise and Know

There are a lot of things to be said about wisdom, and by wisdom, as mostly in Proverbs it is wisdom who cries out. Beautifully enough wisdom is characterized as a woman. Now for me every time wisdom is mentioned, there is one blog and blogger that comes to mind. 'Be Wise and Know' by Danielle Braxton, other wise known as Elegant Granny.

The Bible says Wisdom and Knowledge shall be the stability of our times...(Isaiah 33:6)  So that's all the time, as long as we live. It doesn't matter if it's June 1, 2012 or April 14, 2030 whatever the time is  actively using wisdom and knowledge will always provide stability.

Each and every person needs wisdom and knowledge especially in this world that changes so fast.

In honor of Granny, here are 5 Biblical quotes from Proverbs on wisdom as they pertain to the success, love, and happiness of living:

Life
Wisdom comes fully packed, better than beautiful blind justice herself, wisdom's hands are balanced with all the essentials: Long life is in her right hand;in her left hand are riches and honor.  (Proverbs 3:16)

Money
Having wisdom is more valuable than anything we could ever possess: for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. (Proverbs 3: 14-15)

Family
Wisdom has more abundance than your family tree, and makes for an even better community: She is a tree of life to those who embrace her; those who lay hold of her will be blessed. (Proverbs 3:18)

Faith
Wisdom and guidance is found in trusting God: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3: 5-6)

Love
Truly knowing and valuing wisdom with all you heart gives you a good reputation. It's so charming that everyone will like you: Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. (Proverbs 3: 3-4)

Thanks Granny for sharing all of your wonderful wisdom on the web and with the world.

From Victim to Victory: 3 Tips For Conquering Ego

The ego is an interesting entity.  It is that critical inner voice that tells us we're no good, unworthy and incapable. When we defy it's strident comments and succeed at anything it tells us that we are going to be found out as a fraud and that things will ultimately fall down around us. If we manage to continue to enjoy higher levels of love, happiness and success, it takes the credit! -Anonymous

It's bad enough to get bullied from other people, but to take harassment from your own mind is horrible. And it seems like our own thoughts can make us feel worse than anybody else ever could. When we fall short of certain goals or intentions, It can make us feel guilty, but that guilt isn't just there to beat us up we should us it to our advantage. Here are 3 simple, but powerful tips to help in the conquering of your own inner bully.  Decide to no longer be the victim.

Take action:
It's never to late to get moving. Even if you think it's to late, as long as you have life in your body its never too late to move in the right direction. Know that you have no limitations on you whatsoever. Nothing can limit you, not religion, addiction, people, or time, unless you place those limits on yourself. You can move in the right direction for your life no matter what you've done, or how old you are.

Erase the Illusion:
Sometimes we can procrastinate or continue with bad habits, because we don't keep a top priority in  mind, or haven't established a clear and defined goal to look to in order to keep moving. If we expect to accomplish anything there must be a set strategy. Don't hold on to your dreams, adhere to your goals. You can accomplish them one step at a time.

Be Sociable:
Be as participative and social as possible. The ego likes to divide your world. It create barriers, separation, and makes comparisons. Being engaged with people, and organizations gives you a sense of responsibility, the accountability of being involved can keep you busy. Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it. -Henry Thoreau. Take advantage of the presence of others, a sense of community can make you a feeling whole. An idol mind is the devil's playground.  If you have to, meditate on good things. (Philippians 4:8) Always make sure you are positively interacting with the life around you. Also, God is the best conversationalist. You are never alone.
In the boxing ring of life, there is always someone in your corner.

Wednesday

Where the joy is

The LORD will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing.(Isaiah 51:3)

When this scripture was read out loud at church service it stood out so beautifully, and was completely touching. It's outstanding because it's far from a no-brainer. The difference and contrast between a dessert and a garden is major.

A dessert is an extremely dry place, with literally no life, no fruitfulness at all, pretty much just dryness and death. No one ever wants to even be in a dessert, and living in a dessert is impossible.

However, when we think of a garden, we think of an abundance of beauty, vivid colors, fruitfulness, but most of all: Life!

If all these are characteristics of a natural garden, how much more in the garden of the Lord.  The scripture says: "...he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing."

This is talking about a life so abundant, that it's overflowing with joy. The idea that God has so much compassion that he can make our desert; our dry, barren, unfruitful places like an abundant garden filled with not only joy and gladness, but thanksgiving, is amazing.  Even Thanksgiving, as an American holiday, we expect to have a great feast like no man's business, how about the joy of the thanksgiving spirit everyday, because we know the lord.

Now that's good, and it makes everyday not just a holiday, but a holy day.

Nowadays, it seems like we're celebrating a national holiday every other week. Americans need more things to celebrate to keep life from being solemn. However, God having and actively using the ability to make  the deserts of our lives, into productive gardens... that's a cause for celebration like no other.

Embrace the power of God and watch how instantly fruitful you feel. A life, breath, inspiration will grow on the inside of you that will cause you to jump, sing, and do a little dance...just because it's a Wednesday!

BOLD Testimony: Kortney Clemons

"Hold On To Your Faith"- Lois Clemons

Kortney Clemons learned a lot from his mom, like "everyday you get an opportunity to make your life better." Even though the former Army soldier lost one of his legs, (while trying to save some one's life), that didn't stop him or slow him down.

With the love and support of his mother and her powerful faith, Kortney is now a U.S. Olympic athlete. He is no longer wearing an Army uniform, but is still representing the nation in a major way.

Kortney and his mom's story is a great inspiration: No matter what you've been through you can win with faith, and continuing to move forward.

Watch as they share their powerful testimony and see Kortney's amazing athletic ability in action:

We wish all the best and a special Breath Of Life Daily thank you, to all the soldiers who defend or have served this country, and their families.

We are all soldiers for the Lord and we must stay motivated!  At all times we should be on guard, ready to proclaim the power that is within.  So, act like a Christian, think like a soldier. These top ten scriptures will help get your spirit lifted, your mind motivated, and your body up and ready to go.

As we engage in Memorial Day, as well as throughout the year, be empowered through knowing that God is on your side, and He has a word for your defense:

  • 1 John 5:14-15 -
And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

  • 2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.

  • Matthew 5:14-16
"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. "Nor do men light a lamp, and put it under the peck-measure, but on the lampstand; and it gives light to all who are in the house. "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

  • Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

  • Matthew 17:20
And He said to them, "Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it shall move; and nothing shall be impossible to you.

  • Isaiah 40:29-31 -
He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary

  • Hebrews 12:11-13
All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, and make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed.

  • John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Jesus Christ is the ultimate soldier and His annointing is on you.

  • Colossians 3:23-24
Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men; knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.

  • Romans 5:3-4
And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope;

Too much media (POEM)

Original Poem, Inspired by you guessed it...Too Much Media! Enjoy!

I don't want your news, I want your sinews,

the substance, muscle, life giving tissue
that will that will help resolve my issue
 give me the fresh life
 the moment that inspiration strikes
you to move.

I don't want your music or your groove

if it can't sooth a sorrowful mood
Give me life.

Don't give me the headline, give me Christ's sign

broadcast that it will be ok
in spite of, because Christ loved
us so much that he laid down his life,
blood.

so, don't give me your strife,

give me your joy, give me your peace,
give me your means to relief.

Don't give me your blues,

I want the Good news, I can use
when I peruse through your words
in search of  truth.

Give Me Life!

--Breath Of Life Daily
Before liberty and the pursuit
give me life.
