How to Be Blessed In Bad Times

The idea that we run into trouble only because of evil or doing wrong things is not completely true, the Blessing will also cause us to meet with trouble and come into a night season, but what we do in our night season and how we respond to it determines what type of Morning we will meet.

In the passage, Jacob had been traveling all day and the night finally came upon him, He is tired so he stops to rest, In a recent sermon Pastor Jennifer emphasized that you have to have trust, to even rest in the type of environment Jacob was in. He was in the woods, in the middle of nowhere, with hungry wildlife all around him... in the dark of night. Her Message was taken from Jacob's life. (Genesis 28:10-20...)

Jacob, had issues and in the night God introduced himself to Jacob, because he had to have confidence for where he was going. God gave Jacob the blessing himself and introduced him to a place of covenant. Let your night build you and know that God has got you covered. God will be with you until everything he promised has come to pass. Because of the promise you can endure.

There will be trouble that comes because of the blessing on our lives, but waiting in God gives us the strength to bring it full circle, letting the vision come to life in all it's glory. Jacob rested on a rock... of all things. It's unheard of for someone to rest on a rock, but He was coming in contact with the spirit of Christ, his blessing. A rock or Stone is representative of the Chief cornerstone. (Psalms 118:22

After Jacob arose from his vision He was shaking with fear and Awe. He said: “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” 17 He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.” Jacob names the place, accordingly and sets it up as a pillar and place of worship and meeting God.

What's striking is that Jacob described it as "the gate of heaven" keep in mind that it was revealed to him in his "night" season and the time of him transitioning. Change is always rough. Our blessing will bring a "night season" but it's important to remember that God is on our side and He is with us wherever we go. When your night season comes don't look to the left or the right, don't even open your mouth to complain, but trust God, become wrapped up in him and enter into the place of worship.

Sleep in God and trust him, because it's how your joy comes in the morning! You will be energized to continue to engage your blessing with Jacob's boldness and bring it completely to life. Continue to trust God and work to let your aspirations line up with His winning plan for your life.
