Grow Some Faith and Stop Being A Wimp

"The Lord is not [slack] concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." - 2 Peter 3:9

When I think of "slack" I think of lazy, low energy, some versions even call it "slow". Wimpy can also be included in these characteristics. Have you ever seen a wimpy person just with no strength or drive, just wimpy all around. Might or power can't even be mentioned to describe them. They're slack.

I've recently become more mindful of not giving The Spirit a wimpy praise, or presenting a wimpy worship that's half-hearted, no strength or not going fully in. but to walk in power. More power, no primp.

The word says GOD is not slack concerning His promise to us, so why should we be slack in our commitment and service toward Him?

The same verse says GOD is waiting for us to come to repentance, not wanting ANY one to perish. Literally wanting to give us life. speaking life and causing us to come alive in every way. Even possessing the might power and authority we need. The Spirit is actually quick to give us compassion, meaning that this is a powerful action

"Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore He rises to show you compassion, for the LORD is a just God. Blessed are all who wait for Him" - Isaiah 30:18

The Lord rises, makes moves to show us compassion. This is a lead we should follow. Rise up to make a move to honor GOD's love. The more we honor GOD the stronger, less wimpier we become.

The inner strength we need comes from the source, It's found in the Lord. Tapping into this source starts with acknowledging The Lord's purpose for our lives.

If you need inner strength tap into the source. Here is a prayer that may kick start your journey:
