"Where Danger LIES" Ezekiel Ch 13 stw

Ezekiel Ch 13 Synopses

In Ezekiel Ch 13 the Lord sends Ezekiel before The false prophets of Israel, who have helped in leading the people astray. He states that most pull a word from their own imagination. The Lord declares because they have done this He will be against them. Not only do they "prophese-lie" but they cover up secrets and wrongdoings. The Lord details all the woe He will bring to the city and how He will recover the people who have been a victim of the lies. He also deals with the mystical "psychics" of the land:
‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against your magic charms with which you ensnare people like birds and I will tear them from your arms; I will set free the people that you ensnare like birds. 21I will tear off your veils and save my people from your hands, and they will no longer fall prey to your power. Then you will know that I am the Lord. 22Because you disheartened the righteous with your lies, when I had brought them no grief, and because you encouraged the wicked not to turn from their evil ways and so save their lives, 23therefore you will no longer see false visions or practice divination. I will save my people from your hands. And then you will know that I am the Lord.
That ends Ch 13. This however is a very interesting issue... Have you ever thought that it was God that told you something and it turned out not to be true or worked out differently? If so, do share. In the long run we need a definite closeness in our relationship with God to really be sure of His voice and to hear Him. Since our words are so powerful we definitely should never intentionally lying is very dangerous. In life where communication is everything intentionally misleading someone and miscommunication cannot be afforded as easily as we think. Often times shame causes lies to lead to more lies and they continue to escalate but we should be honest with all men in all things knowing that God Is with us. When we walk with God boldly we fear for nothing.

What will happen next? Who will God condemn? Find out in the next edition of  "Spread The Word" and follow along with us as we go into Ezekiel Chapter 14.
