"A Faithful Fire"

Are you using your life to it's full potential? In Ezekiel Ch 15 God uses the example of wood from the vine vs the wood off the branch of a tree.

1The word of the Lord came to me: 2“Son of man, how is the wood of a vine better than that of a branch on any of the trees in the forest? 3Is wood ever taken from it to make anything useful? Do they make pegs from it to hang things on? 4And after it is thrown on the fire as fuel and the fire burns both ends and chars the middle, is it then useful for anything? 5If it was not useful for anything when it was whole, how much less can it be made into something useful when the fire has burned it and it is charred?

Our lives are only useful when we are connected to God, when we allow God to use us. He has created us for greatness our minds become confused and things began to go bad in our lives when we are not walking as who God says we are. That is the fire that burns us. we become even less useful in trepidation; the fear that causes productivity to be scorched to ashes.  Our life is our productivity and that comes from the Lord.

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)
It's best to be connected to God. That's is where our true Inspiration comes from. The chapter ends in God speaking of consuming the city with fire because of their unfaithfulness. Indeed it is our faithfulness and connection to the vine that keeps the passion of our lives burning.

Are you living life as fuel to the fire? or is your  life being consumed by it?
