The Influence and possession of Faith

Reading into the title of this post and faith being the substance that it is, it almost sounds like a complete recreational drug. It can be, (see A Good Addiction.) but the Influence and Possession that I'm talking about is really having influence in the heavens and possessing the earth, lessons from my past sunday's sermon notes.

My Pastor is talking about how we as children of God, Abraham's seed are to possess the Kingdom of Heaven and earth. We are moving further into understanding what blessing truely is. We have the ability to move from being blessed to being "The Blessing", the ability not only to hold on to it but dispense it. We can be the reason why other people in the earth are blessed.

However, in the times that we are in the valley and we can barely see how we are gonna make it, let alone possess and be a blessing. We need faith more than ever in those times. It's the times when we are down when we want to use sense knowledge the most, but we should beware of sense knowledge. Sense knowledge is what caused Abraham to lie about his relationship to Sarah when He was in Egypt.
"10Now there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine was severe. 11As he was about to enter Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai, “I know what a beautiful woman you are. 12When the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they will kill me but will let you live. 13Say you are my sister, so that I will be treated well for your sake and my life will be spared because of you.”(Genesis 12: 10-13)
Faith is the only thing that causes us to shift. When we are in the valley is the time that we need faith the most and our own faith is not enough. we need God's faith which he gives freely
"3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him." (James 1: 3-5)

We should allow the faith of God to come in when ours doesn't. Faith is a gift God gives us:
"For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.7For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline." (2 Timothy 1:6)

Stay tuned...can't wait to share more.
