"The LORD will open for you His good storehouse, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow." -Deuteronomy 28:12We get so excited about being "the lender not the borrower" until we realize what being the lender not the borrower comes with.
Sometimes it comes with hard work, it comes with discipline even when it hurts and good management skills. Being the lender not the borrower means giving of yourself, when yourself may not be an awful lot at the moment. Being the lender not the borrower means consistently tapping into that excess reservoir of determination that comes from within and is manifested without.
Exercising faith and power is not an easy task...especially in america, because we often take what's given for granted. So no, although it's a blessed position achieving the lender instead of the borrower status is not easy...you gotta work for it. Wimps need not apply...this is where faith is tried, the outcome is where faith is exemplified.
It's time to step up to what God commands and be a lender, not a borrower. Lend resources, lend a blessing, lend the gospel of Jesus Christ. It's what places us in a good position after all.
