Breaking Free For Real

I had a really weird dream last night and it's too explicit to go into details, but I was in a traumatic situation from my childhood, I was back in the same house, same place that was familiar to me. As the situation was occurring the police came knocking on the door, The "Officials". I went to walk out with the police (stepping out of my situation), but then suddenly I turned to go back in the house. In the dream it struck me as weird that I did that, but when I woke up I knew that was just something that was natural. I thought maybe I'll never be able to truly come out of the "situation" I've been given. Maybe it's just the way it is and it will always be. In the short time between me waking up and washing my face, I've come to realize that that's a total lie from the enemy!

We can choose to break free from our situation, and whatever bondage we are in. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says God has created a way of escape! We don't have to go back to our trauma, we don't have to stay in our drama. We can Break Free!!

We can't step half way out the door and then turn back around. We have to realize that God is able to do just what He says He will do! He's able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think. If we think about what we really want out of life as individuals, not for any other reason but that we just intrinsically want it. There is nothing that we can even imagine or dream up for ourselves that God is not able to do. Let me repeat that: There Is Nothing That God Is Not Able To Do!!

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said "Faith is taking the first step, even when you don't see the whole staircase." We can take the first step, and when we do we have to trust that God is able to keep us from falling, not only that He is able to give us a joy and a peace that we could have never imagined.
