Overcoming Anxiety

The cure for anxiety is peace. I know you might be reading this like duh, that's obvious. It definitely is, but it's my sincere prayer that we all really begin to choose peace, and the way that leads to it.

In Psalm 139:23 when we read that David prayed for GOD to lead him in "the way" everlasting after first knowing his anxious thoughts. It seems like it's the same "way" that's advised in Proverbs 3:5-6 when Solomon says GOD will direct our paths and make them straight, when we trust in Him with all of our heart.

Then in Philippians 4:8 Paul comes in and says: think about all the good, praise worthy stuff and the GOD of peace will be with you. 

Ok then, Lord! You mean with me on this way, with me as I travel on this journey called life where so many things happen, but when I trust you, when I set my mind on you and your glory, and when I pray, then your peace will be with me?

That sounds like a winning plan. Focus on the fact that GOD loves us and not who doesn't "like" us or what seems to be working against us. #GodlyRelationshipGoals The win and the peace is in GOD's love and paying serious attention to it. 

Here are some scriptures that mention exactly the power of doing overcoming anxiety GOD's way.

David Prayed:

"Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." - Psalms 139:23-24

Solomon Advised:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6

Paul Teached:

"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." - Philippians 4:8

"Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. - Philippians 4:9

10 Powerful Scriptures About Spiritual Freedom




Juneteenth is being celebrated and more widely notarized, and some celebrate the Fourth of July, both of these dates hold their own significance, However as believers in the gospel of Jesus, it’s imperative to celebrate the freedom that surpasses nationality and time itself.

True freedom in The Spirit can be a common thread across the racial divide. Those that have it and celebrate it daily know. Let’s hope that Freedom found in faith will continue to conquer and revolutionize the world as we know it today. Although there might be many interpretations of it, the Holy Bible is clearly in favor of freedom.

Here are ten power-packed scriptures that highlight the importance of Freedom in The Spirit:

In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. — Ephesians 3:12
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” — Galatians 5:1
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.” — Romans 8: 1-2

Putting GOD's Voice First Ft. Interview with David & Tamela Mann

Omitting: The Truth

"God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” ~John 4:24
Worship: to honor or reverence as a divine being or supernatural power 2 : to regard with great or extravagant respect, honor, or devotion

So, most of us already know how to worship God..... & we all have different ways that we worship, some lift their hands, some shout, some cry, some just bow or kneel to show great honor or respect for God!

I, personally, worship God in three of those ways. However, I've come to realize that worshipping God is one of the easy parts of walking with Him.....once we learn who God is through a real relationship & learn to love God for who He is...... Worship is easy.....but that's only half of it.....

Truth: sincerity in action, character, and utterance

The other half of our lives with God and how we worship Him, is truth!!



Is it possible to only be a halfway worshiper?

YES!

How so?
We can use are lips to pray, love on & praise God & also curse His own children.....

James 3:9 "We use our tongues to praise our Lord and Father, but then we curse people, whom God made like himself."

How so?
We will lift our hands in Worship to God & use those same hands to flip others off, to place them on others in physical abuse or touch others in places that are only supposed to be for our spouses......

Truth (the Word of God) tells us in Matthew 22:39 to ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’

How so?
We will shout, some in tongues, many blessings to the Lord our God in Worship but also shout at drivers on the road, shout disrespectful words at our children, spouses, employees and employers.....

James 3:10 Praises and curses come from the same mouth! My brothers and sisters, this should not happen.

How so? We can love God, serve Him, follow some of His commandments because we don't want to admit we are out of order or out of God's Will, so we continue to live in sin because the World accepts you living with the man or woman you're not married to.....the World accepts you being in a marriage or relationship with the same sex...... because the World accepts you not forgiving those who hurt you, did you wrong so therefore you live in bitterness & resentment......

The World accepts so many of the things God doesn't accept in His Kingdom!!!!

So instead of living to please the God you Worship in Spirit.....

We begin to conform to the World

In Spirit we Love & Worship God.....but when it comes to "truth"......

I challenge you today, to STOP being a halfway worshiper, but to begin to WORSHIP God in Spirit and Truth!

Will it happen overnight? Nah
Can you do it? Yes
Will it always be easy? NO
Are you a conqueror? Yep!

But you aren't alone......

Love you ALL!!!!

#SaveMeriam: The Fight To Free Meriam Ibrahim

Sadly, a lot of popular media outlets right now are talking about a petition to comb a toddler's hair. The petition to Free Meriam Ibrahim and her two kids is much more worthy to be the center focus of mainstream media attention. 

A petition is circulating to the American government to  free  27-year-old Meriam Ibrahim. Meriam was convicted and given the death sentence in the Sudanese government which is primarily Islamic for refusing to renounce her Christian faith. She married her husband who is a Christian and U.S. citizen, and was recently  forced to give birth to their child in prison. This is the same prison known to have an infant mortality rate of one child per day.

The petition created is strongly urging the White House to take action in the case by charging the Sudanese government to release Meriam and her children so she can escape execution and the possible death of her children and be rejoined with her husband in the U.S. 

Websites are being created to rally citizens, and Non U.S. citizens to get involved and sign the petition. The situation is expressed further in the video (below):




Meriam Ibrahim has been sentenced to severe punishment for converting to Christian faith, but this issue goes beyond freedom of religion, and into the freedom of people, especially women having the ability to make their own decisions. 

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr said that "A threat to Justice Anywhere is a threat to Justice Everywhere". Desmond Tutu stated that "If You Are Neutral in situations of Injustice you are on the side of the oppressor". Use your Power to make a positive difference. If we don't exercise our political freedom, then it's subject to be weak, scrutinized, and taken advantage of.
