If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. - 2 Chronicles 7:14
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people. - Ephesians 6:18
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours - Mark 11:24
The LORD detests the sacrifice of the wicked, but the prayer of the upright pleases him. - Proverbs 15:8
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. - Romans 12:12
"This, then, is how you should pray: "'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, - Matthew 6:9
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. - James 5:16
GOD will get us out of and or protect us from trouble. Even if it's trouble we got our own selves into. Just like GOD fights for us, The Lord defends us in situations.
A defender is so important in this world we live in. The Lord is our deliverer and our defender.
He knows those who take refuge in Him. Spending time with our Father as Children of GOD, leads us to know that we can run to Him in times of trouble.* He knows us and we can get to know Him.
The closer we seek to get, we can begin to know that He's our refuge and stronghold, so we come to Him intentionally.
Before the trouble, during, and after The Lord is good all the time. On our perceived good days and bad days, The Lord is faithful.
Like a fortified city. We know where our help comes from, all we need to do is look up.*
May we be prayerful and knowledgeable of our GOD continually.
Now Behold The Lamb who is the Holy King. To those who believe He is our Shepard.
Have you ever seen a sheep fighting against anyone who's tried to harm it or take it captive when the Shepard was around?
No. The Shepard does that. The Shepard is the protector. The Shepard is the caregiver. As children of GOD, we don't just have any 'ol Shepard. We have a Good Shepard*. He loves us so much that when we go astray, He delivers us, not only that "He lays down His life for the sheep".
The Lord fights for us. He desires deeply that lost souls are recovered. When we're found to be in Christ after being lost in the world, all of heaven rejoices!*
The elders use to sing "GOD will fight your battles if you just be still". When we look to The Lamb: Jesus Christ that GOD provided for us, we're truly redeemed.
Born into sin that we may live again, that's a love that surpasses anything that could try to distract us or come against us.
It's the most powerful love, that we may not understand, but when we yield to it . . . our lives are saved.
May we forever keep our eyes on the life saving, life giving Lamb.
HaShem, one of the names referring GOD, His name being too Holy to be spoken.
"Hashem is a Hebrew term for God. Literally, it means “the name.” In the Bible the Hebrew word for God is made up of four vowels, and according to tradition it was only pronounced on Yom Kippur by the High Priest. Saying God’s name was considered a very serious and powerful thing, so much so that one of the Ten Commandments prohibits us from saying God’s name in vain. As a result, people have come up with various substitutions."*
The name of The Lord is Holy. When we run to the name of The Lord we're running to a sacred place, a place where not just anything can run behind us. Not everything can enter the most holy place or The Most High's Presence.
The righteous, who have The Spirit of GOD in their hearts can. As the children of GOD when we run to name of The Lord we're protected. We're safe from the things that have no place in the presence of GOD.
The Lord told Abraham, that if he found fifty righteous people in the city of Sodom, he wouldn't destroy the city.*
To be righteous is considered by some as being "in right standing with GOD". Righteousness is a position that we can choose to be in, it's one we can work to be in. It's certainly one that we're protected in.
As children of GOD, we can come to know our Father more, when we know our Father more we'll know that we can run to His Holy name, amongst other sacred things that are revealed to us in the covenant we have.
May we seek to live in the safety of The Lord continually.
The Flawed and Free Christian Community and Deliverance Ministry has led me to many divine insights over the past few weeks. The Mentorship Academy along with the resources on their website like the blog, YouTube Channel, and other content have been real eye openers . . . in the Spirit.
Episode 13 of the podcast 'Manna vs Meat' gets into the deep discussion of GOD's perfect will vs His permissive will. As I began to listen to the podcast I was wondering "was there actually even a such thing as GOD's permissive will?"
LaTyna Jalieba,FFM Academy Instructor and Podcast host breaks it down perfectly. The answer was definitely clear by the end of the podcast. It was a great listen. There were points where I laughed. I love LaTyna's personality. Her exploration through The word in this episode and others is enjoyable. It's fun to listen to, but at the same time insightful.
A few key takeaways and gems I got from the podcast episode are below:
"GOD is not looking for us to be perfect. He wants us to seek Him in His perfection."
The perfect will of GOD is full of order.
"GODs perfect will comes with rest."
"you shouldn't make decisions for yourself then take it back to GOD for GOD to bless, that's out of order."
"If you fail to learn contentment you will contaminate your future"
So many good takeaways and these are just a very small few. You can check out the episode Manna vs. Meat below and all the latest episodes of Flawed & Free podcast at theflawedandfree.com
Would love to know, what were a few of your favorite takeaways from this episode?
Many believers know what Kierra Sheard means when she says "It Keeps Happening!" I would say it's about experiencing the power and miracles
of GOD through the relationship with the Creator made possible through Jesus
Christ as the Bible reads. Experiencing this power in our personal lives is
Amazing! The relationship with GOD as we know will have us witnessing great
things for our purpose!
Kierra broke down exactly where the inspiration for the song came from in the official video which features her testimony. Check out the official video below:
Kierra Sheard expressed how this is for believers in a song and hit
another #1 milestone with the hit. As the GRAMMY® nominated and Stellar Award-winning inspirational artist and
actress garners #1 on the latest Billboard Gospel Airplay chart for her single “It Keeps Happening.” The hit song marks her first #1 single at Gospel radio as a solo
artist, and her third #1 overall on the Gospel Airplay chart.
Co-writing the track with her brother, producer and songwriter, J. Drew
Sheard, II, “It Keeps Happening” is featured on Sheard’s #1
album KIERRA (Karew Entertainment / RCA Inspiration), which debuted at #1
earlier this year on both the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart and the Billboard Top Christian/Gospel Albums chart in April - where her album
unseated Kanye West’s album Jesus Is King from its six-month position at #1 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart.
Praising God in recognizing the constant blessing and covering He
provides every day, Sheard delivered an elevating live worship experience
when she performed “It Keeps Happening” for the first time before a
sold-out crowd at her live recording in Detroit, MI at her hometown
church, Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in
Christ.
The fifteen-track album continues to showcase her unmistakable
songwriting talents, with other featured studio and live tracks including
featured appearances from Missy Elliott, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Sir the
Baptist, Le’Andria Johnson, Todd Dulaney, and her nephew Jacob
Sheard.
Kierra Sheard says, “It Keeps Happening was birthed out of personal
conversation with God. The song is a personal declaration that has
manifested over my life and I am overjoyed that it is blessing the
world.”
Have you ever had moments like the one Kierra shares in her testimony? Do you have a relationship with The Spirit through Jesus Christ?
If not, pray this quick prayer today to get started on your journey:
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior."
If you prayed that prayer you're on your way to having miracles that "keep happening", but more importantly being in a relationship with the GOD over the universe that causes all things to fall in your favor in purpose!
Deuteronomy 4:29-31 But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul. When you are in distress and all these things have come upon you, in the latter days you will return to the Lord your God and listen to His voice. For the Lord your God is a compassionate God; He will not fail you nor destroy you nor forget the covenant with your fathers which He swore to them. Deuteronomy 5:29 Oh that they had such a heart in them, that they would fear Me and keep all My commandments always, that it may be well with them and with their sons forever! 2 Kings 22:19 because your heart was tender and you humbled yourself before the Lord when you heard what I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants that they should become a desolation and a curse, and you have torn your clothes and wept before Me, I truly have heard you,” declares the Lord. 1 Chronicles 28:9 “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. Job 22:23-29 “If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored; If you remove unrighteousness far from your tent, And place your gold in the dust, And the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks, Then the Almighty will be your gold And choice silver to you. read more. “For then you will delight in the Almighty And lift up your face to God. “You will pray to Him, and He will hear you; And you will pay your vows. “You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And light will shine on your ways. “When you are cast down, you will speak with confidence, And the humble person He will save. Job 33:26-28 Then he will pray to God, and He will accept him, That he may see His face with joy, And He may restore His righteousness to man. “He will sing to men and say, ‘I have sinned and perverted what is right, And it is not proper for me. ‘He has redeemed my soul from going to the pit, And my life shall see the light.’ Psalm 6:8-9 Depart from me, all you who do iniquity, For the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping. Make us glad according to the days You have afflicted us, And the years we have seen evil. Psalm 145:18-19 The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and will save them. Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds. Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 6:14-15 For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Matthew 7:7-11 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him! Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11For who among men knows the thoughts of man except his own spirit within him? So too, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12We have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. - 1 Corinthians 2:10-13
Maybe 2020 is forcing us to step up. . . uncomfortable huh? Imagine how uncomfortable it would be to have nails pierced through your hands to help hold you up on a cross, while you rocked a crown of thorns on your head . . . way too graphic I know, but praise GOD that's not the case, I digress.
I remember in early January when someone said 2020 would be a great year for me, I agreed, but really became aware today, Resurrection Sunday in the midst of COVID-19, that all things, at each moment should be from the perspective of the plans GOD has for us as believers.
Listen to the full pod: "Repentance, Renewal and Resurrection" here. It's a bonus episode! Happy Easter!

A stomach ache can be from the stress that comes with being an automatic entrepreneur, a stomach ache can be from the fact that you ate egg salad with old boiled eggs that you accidently burnt, and then left sitting out for a day, and honestly in the time we're living in right now, a stomach ache could be coronavirus, because you already have hypochondriac tendencies and google your symptoms whenever anything happens. Yeah, all these conclusions are pretty much my own. After going to sleep with a stomach ache, despite whatever the cause was, praying for healing and relief is what really has me feeling so much better now. As I prayed I literally sensed the Lord fighting for me in the spirit. I could share some intricate, scientific article about how to relieve stress as an entrepreneur, and maybe I will on a different platform, but honestly prayer is everything. Even as an entrepreneur praying about what clients to take on and how you can assist them, I've found it to be helpful. In regards to health, I've found that prayer works! No issue is too small. Stomach ache: pray about it, restless leg syndrome: pray about it. Prayer works! I believe when we pray GOD hears us. A few scriptures that agree with GOD hearing our prayers:
"And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him." - 1 John 5:15
"Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." - Jeremiah 29:12-13
"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." -2 Chronicles 7:14
"Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you." - Jeremiah 29:12
"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much" - James 5:16
The key is not just to prayer when we're feeling bad or stressed, but to pray without ceasing. what are some of your favorite scriptures about prayer? Leave a comment in the comment section and connect with us online @BOLDJournal to follow the conversation.

YouVersion recently announced it's latest prayer feature that's been incorporated into the app. According to the website YouVersion Prayer is an all-new feature in the Bible App, that begins rolling out gradually this month. The company advises users to update the Bible App to see it when it arrives. A special video was shared to give users an idea of how the app works. Check out the official video below, which is kind of touching. The video shows the power of community prayer.
Aninfographicwas also put out to show the functionality of the app. The app video reminded me of the Scripture: Matthew 18:20
"For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
Kudos to YouVersion for the upgrade. Hopefully making prayer requests digital can help upgrade our prayer lives. Follow Breath Of Life Daily on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook: @BOLDJournal
As much as I want to get things done, I'm becoming extremely uncomfortable with doing anything else before I pray. I'm grateful for this. It's time for relationship with GOD more than religion.
Any relationship with a person, place, idea or thing, can take second place all day!
Prayer helps me tap into the TRUE source of strength. It's essential. It's powerful.
I'm all for home remedies, Lord knows I stay looking for them. Prayer can sometimes be taken for granted as an effective tool for healing. However, prayer IS a remedy and always will be. Prayer is the most effective remedy. Pray in advance to whatever you're doing or taking to heal.
This latest BOLD Podcast is a revelation about the love and unexpected blessings of GOD...like how gorgeous random sun showers can be created just for our enjoyment. Although it may seem strange at first GOD can gift us whatever He wants, whenever He wants, because truthfully He has gifted us with the whole world. The insight is followed up by a special interview with Gospel Superstars David and Tamela Mann, currently on their "Us Against The World" tour and releasing a book of the same name. While they have some of the most amazing, gifted voices in the Gospel Music industry the couple discussed how they seek GOD's voice above all the noise. They shared that "Us Against The World" is truly a representation of what it means to put GOD's will above everything.
