10 Powerful Scriptures About Spiritual Freedom

Juneteenth is being celebrated and more widely notarized, and some celebrate the Fourth of July, both of these dates hold their own significance, However as believers in the gospel of Jesus, it’s imperative to celebrate the freedom that surpasses nationality and time itself.

True freedom in The Spirit can be a common thread across the racial divide. Those that have it and celebrate it daily know. Let’s hope that Freedom found in faith will continue to conquer and revolutionize the world as we know it today. Although there might be many interpretations of it, the Holy Bible is clearly in favor of freedom.

Here are ten power-packed scriptures that highlight the importance of Freedom in The Spirit:

But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it — not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it — they will be blessed in what they do.” — James 1:25

But God has revealed it to us by the Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11For who among men knows the thoughts of man except his own spirit within him? So too, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God12We have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. - 1 Corinthians 2:10-13

What If Jill Scott Was A Gospel Artist?

Even though Jill Scott is full love, peace and soul. In my mind it would'nt be to far off if she was a gospel artist. Based on her song lyrics I gather she can be sining about the love and power of GOD at any moment. Here's a break down of why in a few song lyrics that you might be familiar with. . .

He Loves Me (Lyzel In E Flat)

"You love me especially different every time, You keep me on my feet happily excited..." "You school me, give me some things to think about
Ignite me, you invite me, you co-write me, you love me, you like me You incite me to chorus".

Clearly the joy of the lord incites us to chorus, and ignites us! Come on somebody! "

Verse: "He will not let your foot slip-- he who watches over you will not slumber;" - Psalm 121:3

Back Together

"Pieces of me where scattered blowing in the cold in different directions truth be told" "Now I'm walking in the sunshine and everything feels so right, you went and put me back together again."

How many times has GOD's love put you back together. It makes you whole first. Am I telling a lie?

Verse‘For I will restore you to health And I will heal you of your wounds,’ declares the Lord‘Because they have called you an outcast, saying: “It is Zion; no one cares for her.” - Jeremiah 30:17

Golden

"I'm holdin on to my freedom, can't take it from me I was born into it, it comes naturally. I'm strumming my own freedom, playing the GOD in me, Representin' his glory, hope He's proud of me."

Come on now!

Verse: It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. - Galatians 5:1

Prepared

"And I’ve been letting Been letting some old ideas go I’m making room for my life to grow I just wanna be prepared." "I’ve been listening for God more, I’ve been doing my chores"

this sounds a lot like "being transformed by the renewing of your mind" but I'll mind my own business.

Verse: "but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 3:12

Rolling Hills

"You're a prize possession, not everybody's worthy Only reason I know is 'cause I headed down that road And it'd be a shame for you not to have your own glow c'mon."

Ladies we're worthy! GOD says so!

Verse: "A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies." - Proverbs 31:10

Anyway, Jill shares the gospel in her own way. I'm all the way here for it!

Prayers To Keep The Peace

A stomach ache can be from the stress that comes with being an automatic entrepreneur, a stomach ache can be from the fact that you ate egg salad with old boiled eggs that you accidently burnt, and then left sitting out for a day, and honestly in the time we're living in right now, a stomach ache could be coronavirus, because you already have hypochondriac  tendencies and google your symptoms whenever anything happens.

Yeah, all these conclusions are pretty much my own. After going to sleep with a stomach ache, despite whatever the cause was, praying for healing and relief is what really has me feeling so much better now. As I prayed I literally sensed the Lord fighting for me in the spirit.

I could share some intricate, scientific article about how to relieve stress as an entrepreneur, and maybe I will on a different platform, but honestly prayer is everything. Even as an entrepreneur praying about what clients to take on and how you can assist them, I've found it to be helpful.

In regards to health, I've found that prayer works! No issue is too small. Stomach ache: pray about it, restless leg syndrome: pray about it. Prayer works! I believe when we pray GOD hears us.

A few scriptures that agree with GOD hearing our prayers:
"And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him." - 1 John 5:15
"Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." - Jeremiah 29:12-13
"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." - 2 Chronicles 7:14
"Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you." - Jeremiah 29:12
"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much" - James 5:16
The key is not just to prayer when we're feeling bad or stressed, but to pray without ceasing.

10 Scriptures You Can Fight Off ANYTHING With

Yesterday I had a question come to mind. What scriptures do you use to fight with?

Scripture says the Devil is an adversary so, If you had to fight an enemy using scriptures. . . What scriptures would you use to fight with?

Of course I googled cause it's just in my millennial nature. I definitely want to get to the point where I have my arsenal ready upfront. I will. In the meantime I found a few helpful ones. Honestly, the majority of the scriptures that I came across had to do with GOD's protection, more than actually fighting.

I love that we are protected by GOD and The Lord fights for us. Jesus already won the battle. It's definitely up to us to really know that and use it. Jesus's victory is our ultimate weapon!

"No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their vindication is from Me," declares the Lord." Is. 54:17

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10 recognize that Jesus is the life bringer.

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4 NIV).

The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen” (2 Timothy 4:18 NIV).

"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." - James 4:7

With the current research I've done, I've come to the conclusion that our fight is basically knowing that the battle is won, and knowing who to submit to because in that submission we are protected. It's only when we go out of that submission that things get crazy. Scripture says in Ecclesiastes 10:8 that a person who breaks the hedge might get bitten by a snake. A lot of times it's being out of the standards that we're given. . . out of GOD's word, Out of GOD's will, out of alignment that runs us into trouble.

I started this journey off with what we need to know in order to fight. So essentially let us know that GOD loves us and we can use the word of GOD, which is important to know to face any obstacle, any enemy, or any thing that sets itself up against the knowledge of GOD. 2 Corinthians 10:5

"In all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." Rom. 8:37

This brings me to a song a recently had on repeat. Mali Music sings and iterates this beautifully in his song Conqueror . . .

When I asked this question on Facebook someone suggested the Beatitudes: Matthew 5

Is Your Heart Clean?

Too many times during my attempts to pray, I find myself asking GOD for things, Protection, Peace, provision, etc. but I realize there is no prayer without Surrender. Getting still and surrendering to what the will of GOD is before uttering a word may be the best route. I pray that my petitions are in the Lord's will.

2 Chronicles 7:14 says if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Humility is the way.

Psalm 51:10 reads "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me."

I pray that my motives are pure before I go to start speaking with GOD.

We are understandably in a frenzy right now to wash our hands, but I honestly pray that during this struggle that GOD begins to wash our hearts.

YouVersion Bible App Announces New "Prayer" Requests Feature

YouVersion recently announced it's latest prayer feature that's been incorporated into the app.

According to the website YouVersion Prayer is an all-new feature in the Bible App, that begins rolling out gradually this month. The company advises users to update the Bible App to see it when it arrives.

A special video was shared to give users an idea of how the app works. Check out the official video below, which is kind of touching. The video shows the power of community prayer.

An infographic was also put out to show the functionality of the app.

The app video reminded me of the Scripture: Matthew 18:20
"For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
Kudos to YouVersion for the upgrade. Hopefully making prayer requests digital can help upgrade our prayer lives.

4 Powerful Lessons From Michael Todd

This "Stop Holding It // Release" message from Michael Todd was powerful! Great takeaways to apply, here are a few:

  • Stop holding it!
  • God can only bless who you really are, not who you pretned to be.
  • Our plan without GOD's presence is a problem.
  • Release is GOD's desire, but my desicion.

(There is) a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, -Ecclesiastes 3:6

What were some takeaways you got from this message? Is there anything you can add to it?

More Powerful Than Pain

I think GOD will blow our minds if we're open to it.

GOD is a mindblowing GOD
No, not the blow your brains out kind,
But when we allow ourselves to be led
The mark is definitely made
There's an etching on our heart, more powerful than a scar

it's a kind that reminds us.
of the time that GOD blew our minds,
And there was no feeling like it,
So there is no reason to go back to hurt.
It reminds us that healing
is more powerful than pain

"They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them." - Romans 2:15
This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the LORD: I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” - Hebrews 10:16
