Lecrae's "I'll Find You" Featuring Tori Kelly Reaches Platinum Status

Recently Christian Hip Hop Artist Lecrae's Hit "I'll Find You" featuring Tori Kelly reached platinum status. It's no surprise that the inspirational composition is doing well. Congratulations to everyone who was involved with the creation of the song.

Lecrae shared a brief testimony about the success of the single on his instagram page (which is currently only one of three posts on his page).

Hulvey Kicks Off Album Release With Special Guests In Atlanta

ATLANTA, Georgia -- Christian Hip Hop Artist Hulvey is the latest rapper signed to Reach Records, the same Record Label that hosts Andeo Mineo, tedashii, Lecrae and other Christian Hip Hop superstars. This past weekend at Mount Paran Church in Atlanta, Hulvey celebrated the release of his album BRKNHRT. 

The official album release party was high energy and jampacked with hip hop fans of all ages. The event also featured special and surprise guests who performed throughout the evening.Featured performers included Torey D'Shaun, Rockstar JT, and fellow Reach Records phenom, Wande.

Tedashii who was a main headliner rocked the crowd and ministered into Hulvey's future to move forward into career success. A special surprise for the evening was Lecrae who came out at the end, he performed, prayed for Hulvey's successful impact in unison with attendees, and was careful not to take any spotlight off of him during their performance.

The event was hosted by CityTakers a special organization dedicated to transforming cities and lives through the gospel of Christ. The organization presented an opportunity for attendees to give their lives to the lord.

The release party was a very powerful event. Lives were most certainly impacted by all the good vibes and awesome music in the air.

Lecrae Set To Release New Book

Two-time GRAMMY award- winning hip-hop artist, entrepreneur, speaker, thought leader, philanthropist, and New York Times bestselling author Lecrae Moore has signed a contract with Zondervan for his new book, I Am Restored: How I Lost My Religion but Found My Faith, which releases October 13, 2020. 

In his first book, the New York Times bestseller Unashamed, Lecrae was transparent about adversities experienced in his life—childhood abuse, drugs, alcoholism, a stint in rehab, abortion, growing up fatherless, and an unsuccessful suicide attempt. In I Am Restored, Lecrae shares how growing stronger in his faith has helped him create transformation in the lives of others. Lecrae bares his soul, sharing deep wounds, past trauma, and conflicts with family, church, and personal challenges in hopes that his process of restoration will help others.

Superbowl Gospel Celebration Marks 20 Year Anniversary During Atlanta Event

Gospel Recording Artists Lecrae and Koryn Hawthorne

The 20th Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration recently aired on BET for it's sixth year.

The Annual event was hosted by National radio and TV personality Rickey Smiley. The  NFL-
Sanctioned event during Super Bowl LIII week, was held at Atlanta Symphony Hall. BOLD Journal was on site to interview the inspirational performers and attendees for the event. 

The special concert featured performances by Kirk Franklin, Tasha Cobbs
Leonard, The Winans, Lecrae, Hezekiah Walker, Tamia, Koryn Hawthorne, and the
Super Bowl Gospel NFL Players Choir. Additonally, the celebration honored Denver
Bronco’s linebacker Von Miller with the annual “Faith in Action” award for his work with
his charity Von’s Vision.

The Super Bowl Gospel Celebration special will premiered exclusively on BET Networks
on Saturday.

The event which originated at Super Bowl XXXIII in 1999, joins together key NFL
Players, top Gospel/Contemporary Christian and mainstream GRAMMY® Award-
winning artists and special guests all on one stage to bring audiences an evening of uplifting music and inspirational messages.

Superbowl Gospel Celebration is the largest multicultural event to take place during Super Bowl weekend, in its 20-year run as an NFL-sanctioned event Superbowl Gospel Celebration has featured artists including Patti LaBelle, Yolanda Adams, Gladys Knight, Natalie Grant, Mary Mary, Fantasia, Donnie McClurkin, Anthony Hamilton, and many others.

Why Anomaly By Lecrae Is The Top Album in America

Lecrae is on the Billboard Charts with the top album in America. Lecrae is clearly unashamed to talk about being a Christian rapper, So a lot of secular outlets are shocked. 

However, that's seemingly the point of his seventh studio Album "Anomaly". The rapper describes in his definition  video for the project that he's ok with not fitting "the mold" or being placed in a box.

Is it really abnormal that professed Christians can actually be talented and widely successful? It's really not. However, I do love that Lecrae honors the power of Christ unashamed. He is a christian and He is very skillful in his craft. 

Church Clothes 2 is one of the LP's that stay on frequent rotation in my car now and my young cousin who's not so christian was thoroughly impressed. Being that He mostly identifies with the rap that's full of cursing and destruction that's a good thing. Lecrae probably can be confusing to some Christians because he takes the same formula with perhaps an even greater amount of talent and switches the lyrics. Hopefully in that he will reach even more lost people.

His music is more than conscious, it's undoubtedly Christian. Honestly Lecrae's album is number one because of his skill which He honors God in, but also because people are tired of hearing lyrics that don't give life! Lyrics which as Lecrae raps on his new album "Ain't Talkin Bout Nothin". This could be the start of something good. Hopefully it's no longer an anomaly to be "different", but more of us will be the change that we want to see...In whatever field God has called us in. It's imperative to keep God's purpose for us as the lead in our lives...to be BOLD!
