Every month She Created iT Highlights a phenomenal female artist. For the month of May the She Created iT Artist Spotlight is on Lauren Doriahna.
Lauren Doriahna is a writer and a poet who fell in love with writing, at the age of eight. She is originally from Detroit, MI and became a resident of GA, in the early nineties.  She continued to grow in the performing arts throughout high school and college. During her time in college, at Emory University, she majored in English. She studied the works of the great poets from the Victorian, Renaissance, and Jazz Movement. By studying the great works of the past, she found that some of the most admired poets were those who wrote about relevant and current issues. Therefore, her poems are diverse and many are centered on issues that impact society.
